Music for Organ Sextet is a chamber jazz group that fuzes funk, contemporary classical, and jazz music into an interesting melange of spirited expression. The music is organised and through-composed at points, but then will leap into conducted improvised madness. The group has had quite a few performances at Jazz Dock and features a killer line up that has a lot of experience working together. The instrumentation of the group is very interesting; It's basically a wind ensemble with organ rhythm section with the unusual timbres of the reed instruments resting perfectly on warm organ pads
