The OPENTHEBOX TRIO is a "band of distinctive virtuosity" (Jazzthetik, HJ Schaal). The compositions and arrangements of Ulm-based drummer and bandleader Christian Krischkowsky playfully combine traditional sound aesthetics with complex rhythmic structures, surprising shifts, and dynamic tempo changes. This creates unmistakable soundscapes—often delicate and fragile, sometimes powerful and wild.
